Celebrating some of this week's happiness..
Fresh fruit smoothies! We got a brand new, beautiful Kitchenaid blender this week when our old crappy one started to smell like something was burning every time we used it. (By the way: who knew blenders were so expensive?!) It's fresh strawberry season here in our area so we've made strawberry milkshakes, but my favorite has been the fresh fruit smoothies. So yummy!
A sudden burst of inspiration struck one morning. I wound up putting this cute little vase of seashells & dried lavender in my beach themed sun room.
I got to go to an Herb Society meeting this week. Not only do I love those meetings (and I haven't been in so long) but I also got to see a few friends. Along the same lines, I got to spend some time with my own herbs this week, too, which always makes me happy (I can't wait to get my raised bed herb garden!). I'm really looking forward to my Bloody Mary Swizzle Stick Plant starting to grow!
To date, all of the shows that I have worked as a stagehand have been Broadway tours (which, of course, I love because that's what I used to do). Some were harder than others; and some, there was simply more to do. This week, for the first time, I was able to work something different which meant that I had more opportunities to do different things. I had a lesson on the follow spot and focused a couple different lights than I had work with previously. I really do enjoy learning these new things and am grateful for the opportunity to learn.
What were some of your simple joys this week? Share below or write your own blog post (link back here & I'll do the same for you, just let me know!). I'd love to hear!

Tonight's dinner will be a simple joy: Fling 1/2 onion, red bell pepper, fresh spinach in a pot. Sautee a while. Chuck in some spices. Serve over couscous.
Might cobble up a wine sauce, cos mmm, wine sauce.
That sounds good and definitely a simply joy!
My simple joy for the week was packing away my winter clothes and breaking out the cute sundresses and tanktops I love so much!
I hear ya, AJ! It's been in the 80's down here & I feel the need to get a little bit of tan going so I don't glow in the dark.
